Afternoon program at CCEC & prepare Thursday children worship

Dear pray warriors,

We continue to teach English & Chinese in CCEC elementary school. We all spend lot of time to prepare for the class. Roland & Sulane bring a lot of fun to their class. The grade 5 students like to sing along with Roland while he was playing a out-tuned guitar. Can you find Roland & Sulane in the picture.

After class, they are waiting for ride. We stay behind and play with them. There is a long line, do you know what game they are play..... it is "Rock, Paper, Sissor... who is the king/queen?

Do you know who is the teacher in the picture? Actually we are learning Thai from them after class.

The school's truck will send them to home. Do you know how many people can ride on the truck? If you guess correctly, we will give you a gift when we back to Austin. Can you believe that this trunk can seat 29 people in a single ride - 9 people in the front & 20 people in the back. This is already a privilege for them already. They can riding the truck to home instead of walking back to home.

Adam

Teaching in CCEC & our 1st fruit in Christ

Dear Pray Warriors,

This week we teach in CCEC. Each team member will teach either English or Chinese. After 3:15pm, it is time for us to review the school work with them. We have more room to do some creative activities during the last 1.5 hours. We help them to review the school work first, then we have some fun & song time. The 1st grade spend most of the 1.5 hrs. on game, and the 5th grade spend most of the 1.5 hrs on school work review.

After school, most of the parents came to pick up their kids. Some of them were waiting for truck to pick them up. Our team members are talking and playing game with them.

After playing with them for a while, a grade 5 student Shao Tin Lee came to seat beside Doreen and talk to her. He also showed some of his family pictures to Doreen. Shao Tin told Doreen that his elder brother passed away 2 years ago when his brother was about 13 years old. Doreen asked him did he want to have peace in his heart. Invite Shao Tin to accept Jesus Christ as his Savior in his heart. Shao Tin prayed with Doreen, confess his sin and accept Jesus as his Savior. Praise the Lord, Shao Tin is the 1st fruit in Christ of our ACC Mission Team by Holy Spirit.

After dinner, we practice the songs for Thursday children worship. Roland has a very good plan about the program and select a lot of good piece of music. I wish you can have a chance to listen to the music. If God allow, we may sing some of the song to you.

Adam

Teaching in High School, Noah Fellowship & Sunday worship

Dear Prayer warrior,

I start to understand beside the Internet access, we also have too many things happen around us to do the posting. This week we will be concentrated to do teaching in CCEC during the weekday.

Praise our Lord to give us the opportunity to serve the High School student in the last 2 weeks. Even though teaching in High School was much more busier but we all enjoyed it. We felt that our relationship with them were closer.

Last Sat. Noah Fellowship was a 3.5 hours English camp program. We had 3 teams. Each team had children of 50 to 70 people. Praise our Lord, each team had very good feedback and the children enjoyed the program.

This week we will have a children worship for grade 4 to 6 students of the elementary school students on Thursday morning. We have started the practices yesterday. Roland is our coordinator for the Thursday morning children worship. Doreen is our coordinator for this Sat. Noah fellowship. Debbie & Sulane are coordinators for this Sat. sharing with Dormitory students. Penny is the coordinator for this Sunday youth fellowship. Of course, Jason, Penny & Priscilla will continue to play music instrument on this Sunday worship.

Please pray for us so that we can work together to glorify Him,

In Him,

Adam

North Thailand 2nd team to CCEC center

After 35 hours of fly & wait in airports at 4 different locations, we finally arrived at Chiang Rai airport. Praise the Lord, even thought we have a long journey but all of us have a good spirit. I only have about 1 hour to change fight in Hong Kong airport. I manage to have a good breakfast in the airport and boarding on time but not my luggage. Before I try to pick up my luggage in Chiang Rai airport, the Thai airway staff already got the information that my luggage missed the onward flight at Hong Kong airport. When all the traveller picked up their luggage and left, they checked with me right away and let me know it should arrived to Chiang Rai in next day. They got all my information and told us to deliver my luggage to CCEC in next day afternoon.

We got on to a truck and ready to take another 2 hours ride to CCEC from Chiang Rai airport. Two of us ride on the back & hold tight with metal bars on the truck. We are so happy to see our wives and our children again after 2 weeks.

After finished our supper, Mrs. Ho bring their 2 co-workers to the multipurpose building site and pray for the site. Mrs. Ho also walk us through the building site too. We are so excited about the future expansion of the CCEC center. We prayed that the new building will be an instrument for them to expand their ministry in their neighbourhood.

When we were having a meeting at the 1st night, I almost fall to sleep. It was lucky that the meeting was not too long. Praise the Lord, we all have a good sleep on our 1st night in CCEC. I also walk up at 4:30am with a refreshing spirit too.

Adam

Serving in Noah's fellowship & Sunday worship

Dear pray warriors,

They connected to internet now but don't have too much time to download pictures yet. That's fine, as long as we know they are serving God faithfully & joyfully.

After 2 days of teaching in Huay Sol High School, they have a better relationship with the Thai students. They enjoy the teaching but it is very exhaustive. They can not wake up at 4:30am any more and they try to wake up at 5:30am to do exercise and have devotion time.

On Sat. morning, we are working with the team from Vancouver to lead the children outreach program. We all enjoyed.

After one week of busy schedule, we finalized have some time to take a break. On Sat. afternoon, we walk to a close by store in the village and buy some junk food. It was so relax to enjoy the snack and walking back to CCEC center.

After dinner, Penny, Priscilla & Jason practice the musical instrument and prepare to make music for Sunday service. They were a little bit scare before Sunday morning, but they all did well. Praise the Lord, they can use their gift & talents to serve our Lord.

Please continue to pray for them about teaching in Huay Sol High School. They plan to encourage the students to speak more during the lessons, that is the most the students need in order to speak in English later in their study or career.

In Him,
Adam

Mission Team work with other churches from Vancouver

Dear all,

Still no internet connection yet. But God's work is not limited by internet connection. The 1st team start to teach English in CCEC elementary school on Wed afternoon.

On Thursday morning, they start to teach English in a Public High School for Grade 10, 11 & 12 students. Beside our ACC North Thailand Mission Team of 5, there is another STM team of 7 people from Vancouver among 3 different churches. The 12 people are divided into 3 teams and each team will be responsible for one grade level. Our teaching in the High School is from 9:15am to 1:45pm. After finished teaching in High School, we will go back to CCEC to prepare our teaching at the elementary school from 3:00pm to 4:30pm.

Please pray for them since this is the beginning of semester for STM team to teach English in the Public High School. They will evaluate the teaching dynamic & the result to decide whether they will continue the partnership or not. We would like to have this teaching opportunity to reach out the students in the High School. If God allow, we will preach gospel to them.

Each evening, the youth will have worship with the youth in CCEC. After worship, we will have evaluation and pray time among our team.

Please pray for our youth to build up friendship with Thai kids & students. Let them to experience that God love them and also love Thai people.

In Him,
Adam

Praise the Lord for us arrived CCEC safely

Dear prayer warriors,

Doreen, Sulane, Penny, Priscilla & Jason arrived safely to CCEC on Tue. morning. Everything was very smooth even thought we only have less than 90 minutes to transit at Hong Kong airport to Bangkok. We all had a good sleep at Chiang Rai's hotel and recharged ourselves and ready for the mission on CCEC.

Since CCEC just start building a multipurpose building about a month ago, they are very busy. We don't want to interrupt their schedule, in order for us to get Internet connection. So all the pictures in the posting are from last year at this point. We will share more new pictures as the situation allowed us to do so.

Internet access & cell phone are so convenience for us now but not in 200 years ago. I can't image how the missionaries back then had the courage and love to travel thousands mile to an unknown place to preach the gospel. Without God's love & vision in their heart, it was not possible at all.

In Wed. morning, they had a pray walk to the neighbourhood - to remember the need of the Thai people and pray for their salvation. Very often we just ignore the need of the people around us in US. Most likely they will have some teaching in the elementary school at CCEC this afternoon.

The picture below was taken before they say grace for the lunch. It was a simple lunch, only 2 dishes for 8 people. After each meal, they cleaned up their own dishes and washed it by themselves.

In Him,

Adam

Below is an email from Doreen in last year after she arrived CCEC
